Come a little closer she said
So that I may tell you of the stones
Those stones that are up on the hill
One night as I was coming back from my Aunt Sal’s
I heard a sound like the lovemaking of the wind
It called to me as if it would surely die
My mother always told me strange things lived up there
Things you never wanted never wanted to meet

Taken by the stones
That night she heard them speak
What they are she does not know
But the wind it sang her name
They found her on top of the hill
As grey as the stones themselves
They knew she had heard the wind
The wind that sings your name
It brings you to the stones
After that you will never die

When I reached the top of the hill
The wind it left suddenly it did die
Clouds came from nowhere and darkened the sky
My mind was not my own but I didn’t care

Then I saw them speak through the runes
They shone like they were singing in the dark
I could not read them though I tried
But I knew what they were saying even so
